North Dakota High School Basketball - Washburn thwarts Wilton/Wing
January 21, 2025: Wilton, ND 58579 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Washburn Cardinals (Washburn, ND) and the host Wilton/Wing Miners (Wilton, ND), observed Washburn's basketball team knock off Wilton/Wing by a score of 42-24.
The Cardinals (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Mandaree (Mandaree, ND). The Warriors come into the B District 8 challenge with a 5-10 record. In their last challenge, Mandaree dropped by New England (New England, ND), 55-39, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Miners encounter the Garrison Troopers (Garrison, ND) in a B District 8 challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Wilton/Wing will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Troopers come into the challenge with a 14-2 record after their 52-29 league win over Center-Stanton (Center, ND).
