January 22, 2022: Richmond, VA 23229 Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Saint John Paul the Great Catholic Wolves (Dumfries, VA) and the host Collegiate Cougars (Richmond, VA), saw Saint John Paul the Great Catholic's basketball squad hold off Collegiate by a tally of 49-48.
With the victory, Saint John Paul the Great Catholic improves its record to 3-5 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, MD) to confront the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 28. The Falcons come into the challenge with a record of 8-6.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Woodberry Forest Tigers (Woodberry Forest, VA) in a VISAA Division 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Collegiate will attempt to improve on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 66-47 non-league loss to Episcopal (Alexandria, VA).
