North Dakota High School Basketball - New England nudges New Salem
January 22, 2022: New Salem, ND 58563 In Saturday's non-league outing, the New England Tigers (New England, ND) basketball squad edged the host New Salem Holsteins (New Salem, ND), by a margin of 47-40.
The Tigers (5-7) will now prepare for their outing against Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] (Belfield, ND). The Cougars go into the B Region 7 outing with a 6-4 record. In their last outing, Heart River co-op [Belfield/South Heart] held off Trinity (Dickinson, ND), 51-40, in a league outing.
The Holsteins now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they host Solen for a B Region 5 District 9 outing on Tuesday, January 25. New Salem will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 61-43 league loss to Washburn (Washburn, ND). The Eagles record now stands at 1-8.
