New Jersey High School Basketball - Immaculate Heart Academy nips St. Rose
January 22, 2023: Belmar, NJ 07719 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Immaculate Heart Academy Blue Eagles (Washington Township, NJ) and the host St. Rose Purple Roses (Belmar, NJ), saw Immaculate Heart Academy's basketball squad hold off St. Rose by a count of 69-67.
With the victory, Immaculate Heart Academy upgrades its record to 14-2 on the campaign. The Blue Eagles travel to DePaul Catholic (Wayne, NJ) to play the Spartans in a Big North - United challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. DePaul Catholic lost 36-24 in their recent non-league challenge against Kennedy (Paterson, NJ)
Next up, the Purple Roses play the Neptune Scarlet Fliers (Neptune, NJ) in a Shore C - North challenge, on Monday, January 23. St. Rose will attempt to upgrade on its 12-3 season record. The Scarlet Fliers come into the challenge with a 3-10 record after their 57-36 league loss to Wall Township (Wall, NJ).
