South Dakota High School Basketball - Viborg/Hurley nips Baltic
January 22, 2024: Viborg, SD 57070 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) and the visiting Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD), saw Viborg/Hurley's basketball squad hold off Baltic by a tally of 56-55.
With the victory, Viborg/Hurley improves its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Centerville (Centerville, SD) to play the Tornadoes in a B Region 4 challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Tornadoes come into the challenge with a record of 4-4. Centerville lost 52-45 in their recent non-league challenge against Tripp-Delmont/Armour (Armour, SD)
Next up, the Bulldogs play the McCook Central/Montrose Fighting Cougars (Salem, SD) in a A Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Baltic will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Fighting Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 61-38 non-league loss to Flandreau (Flandreau, SD).
