Illinois High School Basketball - Beloit Memorial trounces Hononegah
January 22, 2024: Rockton, IL 61072 The Beloit Memorial Purple Knights (Beloit, WI) basketball crushed the host Hononegah Indians (Rockton, IL), 77-56 in Monday's non-league test.
The Purple Knights (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Union Grove (Union Grove, WI). The Broncos go into the Southern Lakes test with a 3-12 record. In their last test, Union Grove was trounced by Waterford (Waterford, WI), 81-45, in a league test.
The Indians now own a 8-11 record. They play next when they travel to Guilford for a Northern Illinois 10 test on Wednesday, January 24. Hononegah will encounter a Vikings squad coming off a 57-48 league win over Jefferson (Rockford, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 16-4.
