New York High School Basketball - Pittsford knocked off by Canandaigua Academy
January 22, 2024: Canandaigua, NY 14424 The Canandaigua Academy Braves basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Pittsford Panthers to 42 in the Braves non-league triumph on Monday.
The Braves now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Batavia for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 31. Canandaigua Academy will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 53-49 non-league win over Notre Dame Academy (Staten Island, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-4.
The Panthers (9-4) will now prepare for their contest against Aquinas Institute (Rochester, NY). The Little Irish enter the non-league contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Aquinas Institute ran past Hornell (Hornell, NY), 76-57, in a non-league contest.
