Iowa High School Basketball - Waterloo Christian holds off Columbus
January 22, 2024: Waterloo, IA 50702 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Waterloo Christian Regents (Waterloo, IA) and the host Columbus Sailors (Waterloo, IA), saw Waterloo Christian's basketball squad hold off Columbus by a tally of 53-51.
With the victory, Waterloo Christian improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Regents travel to MFL MarMac (Monona, IA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Thursday, January 25. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 13-3.
Next up, the Sailors confront the Denver Cyclones (Denver, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East challenge, on Tuesday, January 23. Columbus will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Cyclones come into the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 81-78 non-league win over Gladbrook-Reinbeck (Reinbeck, IA).
