Alabama High School Basketball - Munford can't hold off Weaver
January 22, 2024: Munford, AL 36268 The Weaver Bearcats basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Munford Lions to 50 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Monday.
The Bearcats now sport a 13-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wellborn for a 3A Area 11 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Weaver will battle a Panthers team coming off a 70-42 non-league loss to Ohatchee (Ohatchee, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 3-16.
The Lions (6-8) will now prepare for their contest against Donoho (Anniston, AL). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 3-15 record. In their last contest, Donoho was nudged by Winterboro (Alpine, AL), 46-38, in a league contest.
