January 22, 2024: Spirit Lake, IA 51360 The Spirit Lake Indians (Spirit Lake, IA) basketball felled the visiting Worthington Trojans (Worthington, MN), 79-59 in Monday's non-league test.
The Indians (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Spencer (Spencer, IA). The Tigers go into the Lakes test with a 4-7 record. In their last test, Spencer went down by Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA), 72-54, in a league test.
The Trojans now own a 8-5 record. They play next when they host St. Peter for a AAA Section 2 test on Friday, January 26. Worthington will encounter a Saints squad coming off a 79-77 non-league win over Waseca (Waseca, MN). The Saints record now stands at 7-7.
