Virginia High School Basketball - First Colonial holds off Granby
January 22, 2024: Norfolk, VA 23505 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the First Colonial Patriots (Virginia Beach, VA) and the host Granby Comets (Norfolk, VA), saw First Colonial's basketball squad hold off Granby by a tally of 49-45.
With the victory, First Colonial improves its record to 3-9 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Princess Anne (Virginia Beach, VA) to confront the Cavaliers in a Beach challenge on Tuesday, January 23. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 13-2. Princess Anne won 79-9 in their recent league challenge against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA)
Next up, the Comets confront the Norview Pilots (Norfolk, VA) in a Eastern challenge, on Wednesday, January 24. Granby will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Pilots come into the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 75-33 league win over Maury (Norfolk, VA).
