Oxford Wildcats (Oxford, MI) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Marian Mustangs (Bloomfield Hills, MI), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Oxford upgrades its record to 7-4 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Stoney Creek (Rochester Hills, MI) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 9-0. Stoney Creek won 30-28 in their recent league bout against Rochester (Rochester Hills, MI)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Marian will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Fighting Irish come into the bout with a 7-5 record after their 63-46 non-league loss to Gabriel Richard (Ann Arbor, MI).
