Iowa High School Basketball - Hamburg bested by Essex
January 22, 2025: Essex, IA 51638 Essex Trojans (Essex, IA) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Hamburg Hawks (Hamburg, PA), 38-18 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Essex advances its record to 3-15 on the year. The Trojans travel to Bedford (Bedford, IA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 4-9.
The Hawks now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tulpehocken for a non-league match on Thursday, January 23. Hamburg will face a Trojans squad coming off a 38-36 league win over Kutztown (Kutztown, PA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-7.
