The Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) basketball edged the visiting Western Panthers (Russiaville, IN), 48-42 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Tigers now possess a 7-11 record. They play next when they host Wabash for a Three Rivers bout on Saturday, January 25. Northwestern will play a Apaches team coming off a 47-44 league win over Lewis Cass (Walton, IN). The Apaches record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Western falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Rensselaer Central (Rensselaer, IN) to play the Bombers in a non-league bout on Friday, January 24. The Bombers go into the bout with a record of 17-2. Rensselaer Central lost 68-51 in their recent non-league bout against McCutcheon (Lafayette, IN)
