Kansas High School Basketball - Truman bested by Shawnee Mission East
January 22, 2025: Shawnee Mission, KS 66208 Shawnee Mission East Lancers (Shawnee Mission, KS) supporters left the game happy Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Truman Patriots (Independence, MO), 46-30 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Shawnee Mission East advances its record to 3-2 on the year. The Lancers host Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS) to face the Trailblazers in a Sunflower match on Tuesday, February 4. The Trailblazers enter the match with a record of 5-4.
The Patriots now own a 3-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lee's Summit for a non-league match on Friday, January 24. Truman will face a Tigers squad coming off a 58-35 non-league loss to Lee's Summit North (Lee's Summit, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 5-6.
