Virginia High School Basketball - Lord Botetourt tops Alleghany
January 23, 2023: Covington, VA 24426 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Lord Botetourt Cavaliers (Daleville, VA) and the host Alleghany Mountaineers (Covington, VA), saw Lord Botetourt's basketball squad knock off Alleghany by a count of 74-55.
With the victory, Lord Botetourt upgrades its record to 11-5 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to William Byrd (Vinton, VA) to play the Terriers in a Blue Ridge challenge on Tuesday, January 24. The Terriers come into the challenge with a record of 7-9. William Byrd lost 65-57 in their recent league challenge against Fleming (Roanoke, VA)
Next up, the Mountaineers play the Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Friday, January 27. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 6-11 season record.
