Iowa High School Basketball - Mt. Vernon crushes Anamosa
January 23, 2023: Mt. Vernon, IA 52314 Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Anamosa Raiders (Anamosa, IA), 67-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 10-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Xavier (Cedar Rapids, IA) to clash with the Saints in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 10-4. Xavier lost 62-59 in their recent non-league bout against Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA)
Next up, the Raiders clash with the Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Anamosa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Comets go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 80-60 league win over Camanche (Camanche, IA).
