Iowa High School Basketball - Washington tops Ottumwa
January 23, 2023: Ottumwa, IA 52501 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Washington Demons (Washington, IA) and the host Ottumwa Bulldogs (Ottumwa, IA), saw Washington's basketball squad knock off Ottumwa by a count of 68-49.
With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Demons travel to Solon (Solon, IA) to play the Spartans in a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 10-5.
Next up, the Bulldogs play the Des Moines North Polar Bears (Des Moines, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Ottumwa will attempt to upgrade on its 3-12 season record. The Polar Bears come into the challenge with a 1-9 record after their 79-54 non-league loss to Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA).
