Michigan High School Basketball - Portland overwhelms Saranac
January 23, 2023: Portland, MI 48875 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Portland Raiders (Portland, MI) and the visiting Saranac Redskins (Saranac, MI), saw Portland's basketball squad wallop Saranac by a tally of 64-27.
With the victory, Portland improves its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Eaton Rapids (Eaton Rapids, MI) to play the Greyhounds in a Capital Area - White challenge on Friday, January 27. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a record of 0-11. Eaton Rapids lost 55-47 in their recent non-league challenge against Northwest (Jackson, MI)
Next up, the Redskins play the St. Patrick Shamrocks (Portland, MI) in a Central Michigan challenge, on Wednesday, January 25. Saranac will attempt to improve on its 1-8 season record. The Shamrocks come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 46-31 league win over Bath (Bath, MI).
