Ygnacio Valley Wolves (Concord, CA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host St. Joseph Notre Dame Pilots (Alameda, CA), 68-55 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Ygnacio Valley upgrades its record to 15-5 on the season. The Wolves host Alhambra (Martinez, CA) to play the Bulldogs in a Diablo - Valley bout on Saturday, January 28. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 12-8. Alhambra won 67-54 in their recent non-league bout against Napa (Napa, CA)

Next up, the Pilots play the Alameda Hornets (Alameda, CA) in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout, on Wednesday, January 25. St. Joseph Notre Dame will attempt to upgrade on its 5-12 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 59-54 non-league win over Encinal (Alameda, CA).
