Iowa High School Basketball - Belmond-Klemme can't hold off AGWSR
January 23, 2023: Belmond, IA 50421 The AGWSR Cougars basketball team scored 64 points and held the host Belmond-Klemme Broncos to 59 in the Cougars non-league triumph on Monday.
The Cougars now sport a 12-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Grundy Center for a North Iowa Cedar - West contest on Friday, January 27. AGWSR will battle a Spartans team coming off a 45-27 non-league win over Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Spartans record now stands at 10-7.
The Broncos (8-8) will now prepare for their contest against North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league bout with a 8-2 record. In their last bout, North Union nipped Forest City (Forest City, IA), 62-48, in a non-league bout.
