January 23, 2023: Lynwood, CA 90262 The Compton Early College Rising Phoenix basketball team (Compton, CA), was overwhelmed 59-3 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Firebaugh Falcons (Lynwood, CA)
The Falcons now possess a 6-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bellflower for a San Gabriel Valley battle on Wednesday, January 25. Firebaugh will battle a Buccaneers team coming off a 61-20 league loss to La Mirada (La Mirada, CA). The Buccaneers record now stands at 4-14.
The Rising Phoenix (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Summit View West (Los Angeles, CA). The Wildcats come into the Mulholland battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Summit View West was overwhelmed by Animo Leadership (Inglewood, CA), 19-0, in a league battle.
