The Cottonwood Bears basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting Northside Methodist Academy Knights to 32 in the Bears non-league triumph on Monday.

The Bears now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneva County for a 2A Area 2 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Cottonwood will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 62-45 non-league loss to Paxton (Paxton, FL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 18-5.

The Knights (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against New Brockton (New Brockton, AL). The Gamecocks enter the non-league contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, New Brockton was defeated by Pike County (Brundidge, AL), 68-41, in a league contest.
