Triad Knights (Troy, IL) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL), 49-25 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Triad upgrades its record to 4-14 on the season. The Knights host Carlyle (Carlyle, IL) to clash with the Indians in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 19-4. Carlyle won 75-26 in their recent non-league bout against East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL)

Next up, the Miners clash with the Lebanon Greyhounds (Lebanon, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Gillespie will attempt to upgrade on its 13-12 season record. The Greyhounds go into the bout with a 0-12 record after their 43-21 non-league loss to Gibault Catholic (Waterloo, IL).
