Louisiana High School Soccer - Westgate overwhelmed by St. Thomas More
January 23, 2023: Lafayette, LA 70508 The St. Thomas More Cougars smashed the visiting Westgate Tigers soccer squad by a margin of 8-0 in Monday's league match.
The Cougars now sport a 24-0 record. They play next when they travel to St. Joseph's Academy for a non-league match on Friday, January 27. St. Thomas More will encounter a Redstickers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA). The Redstickers record now stands at 18-2.
With the loss, Westgate drops to 2-6 on the season. The Tigers travel to Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA) to encounter the Rebels in a Division II District 3 match on Thursday, January 26. The Rebels come into the match with a record of 10-7. Teurlings Catholic won 8-0 in their recent non-league match against Comeaux (Lafayette, LA)
