Alabama High School Basketball - Ashford can't hold off Northside Methodist Academy
January 23, 2024: Ashford, AL 36312 The Northside Methodist Academy Knights basketball team scored 50 points and held the host Ashford Yellowjackets to 45 in the Knights league triumph on Tuesday.
The Knights now sport a 14-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Houston Academy for a 3A Area 3 contest on Thursday, January 25. Northside Methodist Academy will battle a Raiders team coming off a 57-22 league win over Ashford (Ashford, AL). The Raiders record now stands at 21-3.
The Yellowjackets (5-12) will now prepare for their contest against Providence Christian (Dothan, AL). The Eagles enter the 3A Area 3 contest with a 17-5 record. In their last contest, Providence Christian nudged Pike Liberal Arts (Troy, AL), 67-57, in a non-league contest.
