Texas High School Basketball - Braswell holds off McKinney
January 23, 2024: McKinney, TX 75069 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Braswell Bengals (Little Elm, TX) and the host McKinney Lions (McKinney, TX), saw Braswell's basketball squad hold off McKinney by a tally of 57-51.
With the victory, Braswell improves its record to 23-6 on the campaign. The Bengals host Guyer (Denton, TX) to battle the Wildcats in a 6A Region I District 5 battle on Friday, January 26. The Wildcats come into the battle with a record of 20-8. Guyer lost 52-41 in their recent league battle against Rock Hill (Frisco, TX)
The Lions (20-7) will now prepare for their battle against Allen (Allen, TX). The Eagles come into the 6A Region I District 5 battle with a 25-4 record. In their last battle, Allen edged Boyd (McKinney, TX), 66-60, in a league battle.
