The McDonald County Mustangs basketball team scored 52 points and held the visiting Cassville Wildcats to 48 in the Mustangs league triumph on Tuesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lamar for a Big 8 contest on Friday, January 26. McDonald County will battle a Tigers team coming off a 69-53 non-league loss to Neosho (Neosho, MO). The Tigers record now stands at 2-3.

The Wildcats (7-11) will now prepare for their contest against East Newton (Granby, MO). The Patriots enter the Big 8 contest with a 7-5 record.
