January 23, 2024: Crandon, WI 54520 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI) and the host Crandon Cardinals (Crandon, WI), saw Northland Pines's basketball squad hold off Crandon by a tally of 46-44.
With the victory, Northland Pines improves its record to 6-11 on the campaign. The Eagles host Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI) to confront the Hodags in a Great Northern challenge on Friday, January 26. The Hodags come into the challenge with a record of 8-6. Rhinelander lost 74-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Wisconsin Rapids Lincoln (Wisconsin Rapids, WI)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Three Lakes Bluejays (Three Lakes, WI) in a Northern Lakes challenge, on Thursday, January 25. Crandon will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Bluejays come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 75-56 non-league loss to Lakeland (Minocqua, WI).
