Metea Valley Mustangs (Aurora, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Geneva Vikings (Geneva, IL), 44-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Metea Valley upgrades its record to 16-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Waubonsie Valley (Aurora, IL) to clash with the Warriors in a DuPage Valley bout on Friday, January 26. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 20-0. Waubonsie Valley won 46-29 in their recent non-league bout against West Aurora (Aurora, IL)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Lake Park Lancers (Roselle, IL) in a DuKane bout, on Thursday, January 25. Geneva will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 19-3 record after their 64-30 non-league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, IL).
