January 23, 2024: Fort Scott, KS 66701 The Fort Scott Tigers (Fort Scott, KS) basketball knocked off the visiting Girard Trojans (Girard, KS), 58-46 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (10-1) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Independence, KS). The Bulldogs go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, Independence notched a victory over Labette County (Altamont, KS), 53-52, in a non-league test.
The Trojans now own a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to St. Mary's-Colgan for a non-league test on Friday, January 26. Girard will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 52-28 non-league win over Frontenac (Frontenac, KS). The Panthers record now stands at 13-0.
