Illinois High School Basketball - South Fork overwhelms North Greene
January 23, 2024: Kincaid, IL 62540 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the South Fork Ponies (Kincaid, IL) and the visiting North Greene Spartans (White Hall, IL), saw South Fork's basketball squad wallop North Greene by a tally of 54-15.
With the victory, South Fork improves its record to 17-9 on the campaign. The Ponies travel to Southwestern (Piasa, IL) to confront the Piasa Birds in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 24. The Piasa Birds come into the challenge with a record of 7-15. Southwestern lost 48-16 in their recent non-league challenge against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL)
Next up, the Spartans confront the East Alton-Wood River Oilers (Wood River, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 25. North Greene will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Oilers come into the challenge with a 11-12 record after their 58-51 non-league win over Litchfield (Litchfield, IL).
