January 23, 2025: Viborg, SD 57070 Viborg/Hurley Cougars (Viborg, SD) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Baltic Bulldogs (Baltic, SD), 73-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Viborg/Hurley advances its record to 12-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Castlewood (Castlewood, SD) to face the Warriors in a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. The Warriors enter the match with a record of 11-1. Castlewood won 63-21 in their recent league match against Oldham-Ramona/Rutland (Ramona, SD)
The Bulldogs now own a 5-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host McCook Central/Montrose for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. Baltic will face a Fighting Cougars squad coming off a 52-42 non-league loss to Flandreau (Flandreau, SD). The Fighting Cougars record now stands at 7-6.
