The BASIS Red Giants basketball squad (Washington, DC), was crushed 85-48 in Thursday's league battle with the host Washington Leadership Academy Knights (Washington, DC)

With the victory, Washington Leadership Academy advances its record to 7-10 on the year. The Knights host Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC) to meet the Lions in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 25. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 11-9. Archbishop Carroll lost 60-46 in their recent non-league battle against Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, UT)

The Red Giants now own a 2-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Phelps Architecture, Construction & Engineering for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 25. BASIS will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 56-15 league loss to McKinley Tech (Washington, DC). The Panthers record now stands at 0-13.
