Delaware High School Basketball - McKean can't hold off Delcastle Technical
January 23, 2025: Wilmington, DE 19804 Delcastle Technical Cougars (Wilmington, DE) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting McKean Highlanders (Wilmington, DE), 68-66 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Delcastle Technical advances its record to 4-8 on the year. The Cougars travel to Newark (Newark, DE) to face the Yellowjackets in a Blue Hen Flight - A match on Monday, January 27. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 2-9.
The Highlanders now own a 7-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Delaware Military Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, January 25. McKean will face a Seahawks squad coming off a 69-40 non-league win over Salisbury Christian (Salisbury, MD). The Seahawks record now stands at 8-2.
