January 23, 2025: Des Lacs, ND 58733 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Killdeer Cowboys (Killdeer, ND) and the host Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers (Des Lacs, ND), observed Killdeer's basketball team edge Des Lacs-Burlington by a score of 56-49.
The Cowboys (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Valley City (Valley City, ND). The Hi-Liners come into the non-league challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Valley City edged Oak Grove Lutheran (Fargo, ND), 75-68, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Lakers encounter the Four Winds/Minnewaukan Indians (Fort Totten, ND) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. Des Lacs-Burlington will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record.
