January 23, 2025: Frostburg, MD 21532 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers (Berlin, PA) and the host Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD), observed Berlin Brothersvalley's basketball team overwhelm Mountain Ridge by a score of 78-42.
The Mountaineers (13-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Allegany (Cumberland, MD). The Campers come into the non-league challenge with a 10-2 record. In their last challenge, Allegany was routed by Southern (Oakland, MD), 55-36, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Miners encounter the Northern Garrett Huskies (Accident, MD) in a Appalachian Mountain challenge, on Monday, January 27. Mountain Ridge will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 60-19 league loss to Southern (Oakland, MD).
