New York High School Basketball - Our Lady of Mercy knocks off Canandaigua Academy
January 23, 2025: Rochester, NY 14610 In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Our Lady of Mercy Monarchs basketball team scored a good 51-38 win over the Canandaigua Academy Braves.
The Monarchs (10-4) will now prepare for their contest against Brighton (Rochester, NY). The Bruins come into the non-league contest with a 2-5 record. In their last contest, Brighton dropped by Webster Thomas (Webster, NY), 43-40, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Braves battle the Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders (Palmyra, NY) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 28. Canandaigua Academy will attempt to better on its 5-3 season record. The Red Raiders come into the contest with a 7-6 record after their 65-57 league loss to Waterloo (Waterloo, NY).
