South Dakota High School Basketball - Canistota bested by Hanson
January 23, 2025: Canistota, SD 57012 Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Canistota Hawks (Canistota, SD), 35-16 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hanson advances its record to 4-8 on the year. The Beavers travel to Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (Forestburg, SD) to face the Rebels in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Rebels enter the match with a record of 10-3. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket won 64-43 in their recent non-league match against Highmore/Harrold (Highmore, SD)
The Hawks now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ethan for a B Region 3 match on Monday, January 27. Canistota will face a Rustlers squad coming off a 52-48 non-league win over Corsica/Stickney (Corsica, SD). The Rustlers record now stands at 9-3.
