With the victory, George Wythe upgrades its record to 7-0 on the year. The Maroons travel to Virginia High (Bristol, VA) to face the Bearcats in a non-league match on Friday, January 24. The Bearcats enter the match with a record of 3-2.
The Spartans now sport a 5-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Narrows for a non-league match on Monday, January 27. Giles will face a Green Waves squad coming off a 49-11 non-league loss to Auburn (Riner, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 4-6.
