January 24, 2022: Mason City, IL The Illini Central/Greenview basketball team (Mason City, IL), was overwhelmed 50-28 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting South Fork Ponies (Kincaid, IL)
The Ponies now possess a 10-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Greene for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 25. South Fork will confront a Spartans team coming off a 49-40 non-league loss to East Alton-Wood River (Wood River, IL). The Spartans record now stands at 4-20.
The (2-19) will now prepare for their battle against Peoria Christian (Peoria, IL). The Chargers come into the non-league battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Peoria Christian was overwhelmed by Cuba/Spoon River Valley (Cuba, IL), 47-15, in a non-league battle.
