Kentucky High School Basketball - Wayne County thwarts Whitley County
January 24, 2022: Monticello, KY 42633 The Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY) basketball knocked off the visiting Whitley County Colonels (Williamsburg, KY), 62-47 in Monday's non-league test.
The Cardinals (4-7) will now prepare for their test against East Jessamine (Nicholasville, KY). The Jaguars go into the non-league test with a 6-5 record. In their last test, East Jessamine went down by Mercer County (Harrodsburg, KY), 55-47, in a league test.
The Colonels now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they travel to Red Bird for a District 49 test on Tuesday, January 25.
