Iowa High School Basketball - Aplington-Parkersburg can't hold off Gladbrook-Reinbeck
January 24, 2023: Reinbeck, IA 50669 The Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels basketball team scored 83 points and held the visiting Aplington-Parkersburg Falcons to 80 in the Rebels league triumph on Tuesday.
The Rebels now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Janesville for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 26. Gladbrook-Reinbeck will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 51-48 league loss to Dunkerton (Dunkerton, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 9-6.
The Falcons (14-1) will now prepare for their contest against Wapsie Valley (Fairbank, IA). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, Wapsie Valley was nudged by Grundy Center (Grundy Center, IA), 68-66, in a non-league contest.
