Colorado High School Basketball - Aurora Central nips Hinkley

Aurora Central Trojans (Aurora, CO) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Hinkley Thunderbirds (Aurora, CO), 55-49 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Aurora Central upgrades its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Trojans host Skyview (Thornton, CO) to play the Wolverines in a 5A/4A Colorado bout on Thursday, January 26. The Wolverines come into the bout with a record of 8-9. Skyview won 52-48 in their recent league bout against Thornton (Thornton, CO)

Next up, the Thunderbirds play the Denver East Angels (Denver, CO) in a 6A Denver Prep bout, on Saturday, January 28. Hinkley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-12 season record. The Angels come into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 68-62 non-league win over Thomas Jefferson (Denver, CO).
