Virginia High School Basketball - Oscar Smith crushes Deep Creek
January 24, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23320 Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA), 77-52 in a league bout.
With the win, Oscar Smith upgrades its record to 14-1 on the season. The Tigers travel to Lakeland (Suffolk, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a Southeastern bout on Friday, January 27. The Cavaliers go into the bout with a record of 5-8.
Next up, the Hornets play the Hickory Hawks (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern bout, on Friday, January 27. Deep Creek will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 0-13 record after their 65-51 non-league loss to Kellam (Virginia Beach, VA).
