January 24, 2023: Forestburg, SD 57385 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Rebels (Forestburg, SD) and the visiting Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD), saw Sanborn Central/Woonsocket's basketball squad hold off Hanson by a tally of 55-49.
With the victory, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket improves its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Irene/Wakonda (Irene, SD) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 28. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Irene/Wakonda won 48-43 in their recent league challenge against Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD)
Next up, the Beavers confront the Bridgewater/Emery Huskies (Emery, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Hanson will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 7-4 record after their 63-42 non-league win over Freeman Academy/Marion (Freeman, SD).
