High Point Academy Grizzlies (Spartanburg, SC) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Laurens Raiders (Laurens, SC), 69-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, High Point Academy upgrades its record to 14-6 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC) to play the Knights in a A Region 1 bout on Friday, January 27. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 9-8. St. Joseph's Catholic won 62-55 in their recent league bout against Brashier Middle College Charter (Simpsonville, SC)

Next up, the Raiders play the Greer Yellow Jackets (Greer, SC) in a AAAA Region 2 bout, on Friday, January 27. Laurens will attempt to upgrade on its 5-14 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the bout with a 17-4 record after their 70-69 league loss to Riverside (Greer, SC).
