Kentucky High School Basketball - Middlesboro holds off Leslie County
January 24, 2023: Middlesboro, KY 40965 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Middlesboro Yellowjackets (Middlesboro, KY) and the visiting Leslie County Eagles (Hyden, KY), saw Middlesboro's basketball squad hold off Leslie County by a tally of 45-42.
With the victory, Middlesboro improves its record to 6-8 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Bell County (Pineville, KY) to confront the Bobcats in a District 52 challenge on Friday, January 27. The Bobcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-11. Bell County won 88-58 in their recent non-league challenge against Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY)
Next up, the Eagles confront the Rockcastle County Rockets (Mt. Vernon, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 27. Leslie County will attempt to improve on its 4-8 season record.
