Illinois High School Basketball - Wheeling edges Niles West
January 24, 2023: Wheeling, IL 60090 The Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) basketball nipped the visiting Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL), 67-66 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats (9-13) will now prepare for their test against Prospect (Mt. Prospect, IL). The Knights go into the Mid-Suburban - East test with a 13-9 record. In their last test, Prospect got by Glenbrook South (Glenview, IL), 45-35, in a non-league test.
The Wolves now own a 14-10 record. They play next when they host Maine South for a Central Suburban - South contest on Friday, January 27. Niles West will battle a Hawks team coming off a 69-65 non-league loss to Niles North (Skokie, IL). The Hawks record now stands at 10-12.
