California High School Basketball - University City tipped by Point Loma
January 24, 2023: San Diego, CA 92122 The Point Loma Pointers basketball team scored 63 points and held the host University City Centurions to 62 in the Pointers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Pointers now sport a 7-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Tri-City Christian for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25. Point Loma will meet a Eagles team coming off a 55-41 league loss to Calvin Christian (Escondido, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-20.
The Centurions (12-9) will now prepare for their contest against Coronado (Coronado, CA). The Islanders enter the Eastern contest with a 18-6 record. In their last contest, Coronado was nudged by Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA), 59-58, in a league contest.
